مری ندیم محبت کی رفعتوں سے نہ گر
بلند بام حرم ہی نہیں کچھ اور بھی ہے
یہ اجتناب ہے عکس شعور محبوبی

ادھر بھی ایک اچٹتی نظر کہ دنیا میں
فروغ محفل جم ہی نہیں کچھ اور بھی ہے
نئے جہان بسائے ہیں فکر آدم نے
اب اس زمیں پہ ارم ہی نہیں کچھ اور بھی ہے
مرے شعور کو آوارہ کر دیا جس نے
وہ مرگ شادی و غم ہی نہیں کچھ اور بھی ہے

For the sustenance of Spirit there is not only elopement (company) , there is something else also
Life is not only a poison drink, there is something else also

My beloved don’t degrade yourself from my exalted love
only the “Kabba roof” is not exalted, there is something else also
This avoidance is the reflection of the consciousness of Beloved
